How to Get Stopga in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep
Stopga freezes every enemy on screen at once, which turns dangerous fights into free hits. It is the best
crowd control in the game and it works for Terra, Ventus and Aqua. Both recipes are guaranteed, and the
whole chain builds out of Stop, which you can buy from the first world's shop.
It is also a heavily used ingredient. Nine recipes want a Stopga, including some of Terra's best
commands, so make a spare.

The chain is entirely self-contained. Buy Stop, meld two copies into Stopra, then either add another
Stop or combine two Stopras. Stop + Stopra is the cheaper of the two.
Which Crystal Should You Use?
Stopra + Stopra with a Wellspring Crystal gives Once More.
Worth the extra Stopra. Once More is one of the two abilities that make higher difficulties
survivable, and this is a guaranteed recipe built out of shop-bought ingredients.
That same recipe also gives Defender on Soothing and EXP Chance on Abounding, while Stop + Stopra
gives HP Boost and Link Prize Plus in those slots instead.
Both recipes share the rest: Thunder Boost on Shimmering, Combo F Boost on Pulsing, and Treasure
Magnet on Hungry. Neither offers Second Chance, so if that is the gap in your build, look at Curaga instead.
Level Stopga before melding it into anything else if you want to keep the ability.
Commands That Use Stopga as an Ingredient
Nine recipes want one, and several of them are endgame commands:
- Zantetsuken, from Dark Haze + Stopga or Sonic Blade + Stopga, Terra, 80%
- Ars Solum, from those same two pairs, Terra, 20%
- Time Splicer, from Aerial Slam + Stopga, Ventus and Aqua, 100%
- Time Splicer again, from Stopga + Barrier, Aqua, 20%
- Crawling Fire, from Firaga + Stopga, all three characters, 80%
- Firaga Burst, from Firaga + Stopga, Aqua, 20%
- Stop Barrier, from Stopga + Barrier, Aqua, 80%
Notice how many of those pairs are shared. Dark Haze + Stopga and Sonic Blade + Stopga each give
Zantetsuken at 80% or Ars Solum at 20%, and Firaga + Stopga gives Crawling Fire at 80% or Firaga
Burst at 20%. Check the simulator first if you are aiming for the rarer result.
Crawling Fire matters more than it looks, since it is half of the Mega Flare
recipe.
Want to Test Your Melding Path?
Several Stopga pairings produce two different commands, so the Command Melding Simulator
is worth a look before you spend one.
Stopga is cheap, guaranteed, available from the first world, and it feeds nine other recipes. Between the
crowd control and the Once More on Stopra + Stopra, there is no reason to leave this one until later.
