How to Get Time Splicer in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep
Time Splicer stops time briefly and lets you cut through a target repeatedly before it can react. It is a
strong physical finisher for Ventus and Aqua. Four recipes exist, but one is guaranteed
and the rest are not close, so this is an easy build unless you are chasing a specific ability.
How to Meld Time Splicer (All Four Recipes)
Use Aerial Slam + Stopga. Both ingredients are easy to build, Stopga
comes from shop-bought Stop, and it is the only recipe that works for Ventus at all. The other three
are Aqua-only or near-hopeless odds.
Which Crystal Should You Use?
Aerial Slam + Stopga with a Pulsing Crystal gives Second Chance.
The guaranteed recipe carrying the best ability is the ideal outcome here, and it means you never
need to touch the long shots.
That recipe also gives Air Combo Plus on Wellspring, which suits a command you will mostly use in the
air, plus Blizzard Boost on Shimmering and Damage Syphon on Soothing.
One oddity worth knowing about. Barrier Surge + Wishing Edge with an Abounding Crystal gives
EXP Walker, and it is the only Time Splicer recipe that
offers it. At 10% odds and Aqua only, it is a terrible way to farm EXP Walker. The Renewal Barrier route is guaranteed and much cheaper. Only take
this one if you happen to be melding it anyway and get lucky.
Level Time Splicer before melding it away if you want to keep the ability.
Commands That Use Time Splicer as an Ingredient
Nothing melds from Time Splicer, so once it is built and levelled you are free to just use it.
Want to Test Your Melding Path?
The Command Melding Simulator will confirm the ability before you spend a Stopga on it.
Time Splicer is one of the easier high-end commands to put together. Build Aerial Slam, build Stopga,
bring a Pulsing Crystal, and skip the three low-odds recipes entirely.
