How to Get Mine Square in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep

Mine Square drops a field of stationary mines that detonate when enemies wander into them. It is the offensive counterpart to Mine Shield, and the two are usually built together because Seeker Mine wants both.

All four recipes are guaranteed. Two work for everybody and two are Aqua-only.

How to Meld Mine Square (All Guaranteed)

Notice the mirror with Mine Shield. Where Mine Shield uses Block for its restricted recipes, Mine Square uses Barrier, which is why those two are Aqua-only.

Which Crystal Should You Use?

Fira + Stop or Aerora + Ignite with a Pulsing Crystal gives Leaf Bracer. Same as with Mine Shield, the two universally available recipes are the ones carrying Leaf Bracer. If you are building both mine commands for Seeker Mine, that is several chances at it from ingredients you already needed.

The Aqua-only recipes give something else on Pulsing: Fira + Barrier gives Finish Boost, Stopra + Barrier gives Combo F Boost.

For elemental damage, Fira + Stop gives Fire Boost on Shimmering. The other three give Fire Screen or, in the case of Stopra + Barrier, Cure Boost.

Level it before melding it away if you want to keep the ability.

Commands That Use Mine Square as an Ingredient

Ice Barrage, from Blizzaga + Mine Square, Aqua, 100%
Brutal Blast, from Binding Strike + Mine Square, Terra, 70%
Quake, from Binding Strike + Mine Square, Terra, 30%

As with Mine Shield, Terra has a clash on the last pair. Binding Strike + Mine Square gives Brutal Blast at 70% or Quake at 30% and you cannot pick which. Brutal Blast is normally what you want, since it feeds Geo Impact and Meteor.

The mine commands are also one of the few places Terra and Ventus get real use out of a command that mostly serves Aqua, since Brutal Blast is Terra-only and needs one.
