How to Get Meteor in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep
Meteor drops rocks on everything in front of you and it's one of Terra's best magic commands. It's
Terra-only. Three recipes are listed for it, but only one is worth building a plan
around. The other two are 10% gambles you can safely ignore.
How to Meld Meteor (Use the Guaranteed Recipe)
Take the guaranteed one. Geo Impact comes from two Brutal Blasts at 70%, so
your full chain is two Brutal Blasts into Geo Impact, then add Quake. That's more reliable than
rolling 10% over and over, and you pick up an ability at the Geo Impact stage too.
Which Crystal Should You Use?
Geo Impact + Quake with a Wellspring Crystal gives Once More.
Handy that the guaranteed recipe also carries the best ability. A meld that can't fail and hands you
Once More is one of the better deals in the game.
The rest of that recipe's set:
- Shimmering gives Fire Boost
- Fleeting gives Reload Boost
- Pulsing gives Finish Boost
- Soothing gives Damage Syphon
- Hungry gives HP Prize Plus
- Abounding gives EXP Chance
Brutal Blast + Zero Graviga happens to share that exact ability set, so even if you do gamble you're
after the same rewards. Brutal Blast + Magnega is the outlier, giving Combo Plus on Wellspring
instead of Once More, which makes it the weakest of the three.
Commands That Use Meteor as an Ingredient
Nothing melds from Meteor, so once it's built and levelled you're free to just use it.
One naming thing that catches people out: Meteor Crash and Meteor
Shower are different commands entirely. Meteor Shower is a Shotlock rather than a deck
command, so it works nothing like this.
Want to Test Your Melding Path?
The Command Melding Simulator will confirm the result and ability before you commit your
Geo Impact to it.
Meteor is a two-step build with a guaranteed finish and Once More attached to it. Make Geo Impact, level
it, add Quake. Skip the 10% recipes, because chasing them costs more crystals than just doing it
properly.
