How to Get Geo Impact in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep
Geo Impact slams the ground and hits everything around you. Decent enough on its own, but the reason
you're probably here is what comes after it. It's the only sensible ingredient for Meteor, so it's a required stop on the way to one of Terra's best commands. It's
Terra-only.
How to Meld Geo Impact (The Only Recipe)
One recipe, and it wants two of the same command:
| Ingredient 1 |
Ingredient 2 |

Brutal Blast |

Note that you need two Brutal Blasts, not one. That doubles your shopping list, and
at 70% it isn't guaranteed either, so pick up a spare pair while you're at it. Nothing worse than
farming two of something and losing them to a failed meld.
Which Crystal Should You Use?
One recipe means the crystal is your only decision here.
Pulsing Crystal gives Second Chance. Take it if you
don't have it. You're melding Geo Impact anyway on your way to Meteor, so picking up Second Chance
during a step you were already taking is basically free.
The rest:
- Shimmering gives Cure Boost
- Fleeting gives Reload Boost
- Wellspring gives Combo Plus
- Soothing gives Defender
- Hungry gives Treasure Magnet
- Abounding gives Lucky Strike
This one matters more than usual: if Meteor is the plan, level Geo Impact all the way
first. Melding it away early throws out the ability you just spent a crystal on. I've
done this and it's annoying.
Commands That Use Geo Impact as an Ingredient
Just the one, and it's the whole point:
- Meteor, from Geo Impact + Quake, Terra, 100%
That's why you'd build Geo Impact deliberately instead of tripping over it by accident. Geo Impact +
Quake is the only guaranteed way to get Meteor. The alternatives are 10% rolls, so this is the path
you want.
Building the Brutal Blasts First
Geo Impact needs two Brutal Blasts, and Brutal Blast is Terra-only with two recipes at 70% each:
Careful here: both pairs also give Quake at 30% instead of Brutal Blast. Since
you need Quake for Meteor anyway, that is not wasted, but it does mean the number of melds you need
is unpredictable. If you are going all the way to Meteor, you want at least
three Brutal Blasts: two for Geo Impact and one for Quake.
Want to Test Your Melding Path?
The Command Melding Simulator lets you check the ability before you spend two Brutal
Blasts finding out.
Geo Impact is a stepping stone, but it's a stepping stone worth doing properly. Two Brutal Blasts in, a
Second Chance along the way, and a guaranteed route to Meteor waiting at the other end. Just remember to
level it before you spend it.
