How to Get Chaos Blade in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep

Chaos Blade hits like a truck and it's about as simple to make as they come. One recipe, good odds, and no competition for the ingredients once Sonic Blade is out of the way. Like most of Terra's heavy physical commands, it's Terra-only.

How to Meld Chaos Blade (The Only Recipe)

One recipe at 90%:

You'll need Sonic Blade first, and that comes from Blitz + Air Slide or Fire Dash + Thunder Surge. Three steps total, but every one of them is 90% or better, so it goes quickly.

The Same Recipe Can Give You Ars Solum Instead

Something to know before you meld. Dark Haze + Sonic Blade is listed for Chaos Blade at 90% and for Ars Solum at 20%. Chaos Blade is by far the likelier result, so this pair is a fine place to build one. Do not assume Ars Solum has an easier route elsewhere, though: its other two recipes both compete with Zantetsuken at 80%, so every Ars Solum recipe is fighting a likelier result.

If you want both eventually, this pair isn't a bad place to start. You'll get Chaos Blade most times and occasionally luck into the other one.

Which Crystal Should You Use?

One recipe, so the crystal is the only call you make here, and there's an easy pick.

Wellspring Crystal gives Once More. If it's still missing from your build this is a great place to grab it, because you'd be making Chaos Blade regardless. You're not spending a meld purely on the ability.
